How do Medical Centers get started with Teledermatologist Consultation Window?

After the GPs at a Medical Centre have used the Teledermatologist service a few times, they often elect to lock in consultations windows that suit their demands by talking to the Teledermatologist Coordinator.

This free service can be increased in frequency and duration as your patients dermatological needs increase. Thus, a Medical Centre may initially elect to have a two hour Consultation Window once a month (or less) in which all of the GPs can book patients into, but later, as demand increases, they elect to allocate a weekly one hour Consultation Windows, thus increasing their patients access to a FACD registered Dermatologist.

How many Teledermatologist consultations can be provided in an hour?

Initial Teledermatologist consultation typically last up to  30 minutes and follow up consultations last up to 20 minutes. Thus, it is easy for the Medical Centres Reception team to book patients into the appropriate Consultation Windows allocated in their calendar.

How does the Medical Center indicate the time the patient has been booked into

Once the patient is booked into a Teledermatologist Consultation slot, the reception team should write the date and time at the top of the patients referral and email (cooridnator@teledermatologist.com.au) or fax (02 4960 8288) this referral along with the completed Patient Information and Consent Form.

The Teledermatologist Coordinator will be in touch to confirm the booked Consultation.

In conclusion, to make use of Teledermatologist Consultation Windows and the benefits that it provides, please contact Teledermatologist on 02 4960 8277 or email cooridnator@teledermatologist.com.au with a recurring time of the month or week(s) that suit your Medical Center.
